Because every NOSTALO photo book is personalised and produced from the customer's approved design, our cancellation, return and refund terms reflect the made-to-order nature of the product.
Personalised Orders & Cancellation
A NOSTALO photo book is created specifically from the photographs, layout, sequence, text and other choices approved by the customer before purchase.
Because our production workflow may begin promptly after successful payment, an order ordinarily cannot be cancelled once payment has been completed and the confirmed order has entered production or processing.
If you contact us immediately after placing an order and substantive processing has not yet begun, we may, where operationally possible, consider a cancellation request. This is not guaranteed. Nothing in this provision affects a cancellation or refund right that is mandatorily available under applicable law.
No Returns or Refunds for Change of Mind
A correctly produced personalised photo book is not ordinarily eligible for return, exchange or refund merely because the customer subsequently changes their mind or would prefer different photographs, text, cropping, layout, photograph size, sequence or other design choices.
NOSTALO produces the final version submitted and approved by the customer and does not independently redesign the customer's project before printing.
Customer-Approved Design & Image Quality
The customer is responsible for reviewing photographs, their placement, size and sequence, captions, names, dates, spellings, cropping and other design choices before placing the order.
The NOSTALO design system may provide on-screen quality alerts where an image is enlarged to a level that may affect printed quality. If the customer proceeds despite such an alert, the book will be produced from the final submitted design.
NOSTALO remains responsible for genuine printing and production defects, but cannot reasonably be responsible for limitations inherent in customer-supplied photographs or for the customer's chosen design, including quality issues resulting from deliberate image enlargement or cropping.
Production, Printing & Binding Defects
Every NOSTALO photo book is intended to undergo quality control before dispatch. If you discover a genuine physical production, printing or binding defect attributable to NOSTALO, please notify Customer Service preferably within 7 days of receipt and provide your order details and clear photographs showing the issue.
Prompt reporting helps us verify and resolve the matter efficiently; it does not extinguish any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where a genuine NOSTALO-attributable defect is established, we will provide an appropriate remedy. Where the defect can reasonably be remedied by re-production, our normal remedy will be a fresh replacement copy at no additional cost. A refund or other remedy may apply where required by applicable law or where replacement is not reasonably appropriate.
Transit Damage
Transit damage is addressed under our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Please report visible transit damage preferably within 24 hours and retain the product and packaging while the matter is reviewed.
Screen-to-Print & Normal Production Variations
A photograph viewed on a phone, tablet or computer is displayed using illuminated pixels, while a printed photograph is reproduced physically using inks or other printing materials. Exact screen-to-print matching is therefore not possible.
Reasonable differences may occur in colour, brightness, contrast, saturation, tone, crop, positioning, texture, dimensions, binding or finish because of screen settings, source-image characteristics, printing processes and normal production tolerances. Minor variations that do not materially impair the intended use or overall quality of the product are not ordinarily regarded as defects.
Changes After Purchase
If a photo book has been correctly produced from the submitted design but the customer later wishes to change photographs, text, layout, photograph size, sequence or another design element, the completed order cannot be modified.
Under the current NOSTALO service, the saved project is intended to remain available in the customer's account for up to 365 days from the earlier of the date of purchase or the customer's first login. During that period, the customer may edit the project and place a new order for the revised version, subject to the platform and product remaining available.
Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved or required, it will ordinarily be made to the original payment method wherever reasonably possible. The time taken for the credited amount to appear may additionally depend upon the relevant bank, card issuer, payment gateway or financial institution and is outside NOSTALO's direct control.
